Barcelona….we miss you.
Just got back into NYC where we’re stopping for a few days before heading back home to lovely LA. Gotta say this was the best, jam-packed shoot yet — the Spring and Summer 2012 lookbooks are going to be so sweet. Thanks to everyone who was a part of it — Ip, Drawlings, Randy, El Guincho, Christian, Cacho, Bailey, Sacha, Ambra, and many more. Special thanks to Amanda De Pablo for all her hometown hookups.
It was an extra bonus that Primavera Sound was going on when we were there. So many homies in one spot, it was almost unbelievable. Here are some highlights from Primavera! Hanging with old homies is really one of the truest pleasures in the world.
This was taken while Belle and Sebastian were playing. The last time we saw Belle and Sebastian play was over ten years ago with Drawlings. We were babies back then. It’s all come full circle.
We also ran into Randy who was in Europe after his No Age tour and the ever lively Shannon. How sweet to hang with some LA locs all the way in Barca.
Arie Pink and Haunted Graffiti played an amazing set. Tim Koh looked especially dashing, even from the steps where we took this pic.
Backstage at Animal Collective. Geologist needs some new Keeps since his Nuss are getting on their last leg. Avey’s got the old Keep flannel on too! It’s still exciting to think that stuff we made has traveled from Cali across the US, across the Atlantic and now across Europe. Pretty sweet.
Awww Deakin’s so tall. Could there possibly be another shoe in the works with him? Never say never. That’s not a Bieber quote, kids.
We were stage right so we only got pics from this side. The crowd was MASSIVE! So incredible to hear the set AC played in SF and Santa Cruz at its peak, performed in a massive venue. Next level, ladies and gentleman. Serious next level.
See the tiny lights in the background? That’s an incline that was full to the brim with people.
Ok so we got a little carried away with the fish eye. It’s a new camera — cut us some slack.
